Jacob Whitworth and Cole Meyer each won their 3rd District Titles. Nico Vargas won his 2nd District Title, and picked up career win #100. The Knights won the Team Title for the first time since 2016; their 9th District Team Championship in program history. Wall also received championship performances from senior Tyler Ferris, and junior Brendan Newbury, giving the program 130 District Champions, the 7th most in the Shore Conference.

Down Low (106-132): A nice mix of proven talent and promising newcomers make up what could be an extremely solid group here for Wall. Senior Cole Meyer won 30 bouts last season and was the D21 Champ at 106 pounds. Fellow senior Tyler Ferris won 23 matches and was a D21 runner-up. A third District Medalist returns down low in junior Mike Bruno, and fellow junior Mike Farrell is back after a 16-win sophomore season. That foursome provides a strong foundation for the Knights to break some newcomers into the lineup including, junior Jack Kinsella down at 106, and promising freshmen Nick Vetrano and Dominick Interrante.

In The Middle (138-160): Four starters are back in the middleweights, including a pair of State Qualifers in seniors Jacob Glantzman and Nico Vargas. Vargas, a District Champ and 3rd place finisher in the Region, enters the year with 71 career wins. Glantzman comes off a 23-win year where he took 2nd at Districts and 4th at Regions. The other returning starters are a pair of juniors in Brendan Newbury, a 15-bout winner, and Nick Zamaloff, who won 13 matches. There's some nice depth here too with Arturo Cortez, Kelan Giaimo, and Joe Introna, who started at Manasquan last season. There could be some freshmen cracking the lineup here as well including another promising newcomer, Dominick Giglio.

Up Top (170-Hwt): Jacob Whitworth, who has amassed 63 wins in his first two seasons, is coming off a 2019 that saw him win the District 21 and Region 6 Titles. He finished just two wins shy of a spot on the podium in Atlantic City. Whitworth, along with returning heavyweight starter, senior Jack Wolter, provide veteran leadership to which could be an otherwise very young cast, that will include sophomore Lou Pilla, and a couple more promising frosh in Jaquari Medler and Keisun Sanders.

The Knights had basically been undergoing a bit of a rebuild the previous two seasons, with a ton of underclassmen filling out the lineup. You could really see how well it had come along as the team started come together with some close calls against tough competition in duals, and then into a very successful post-season. With another year of maturity and experience to their credit, this has the potential to be a very tough group that could very well throw their hat into the B-North Title chase and Sectional Title hunt, as well. They'll be tournament-heavy on the schedule early with trips to the Colt Classic, the tough Mustang, and the Minuteman Invitational, so we'll circle January 15th on the calendar as they get their first big B-North test with a visit to Middletown North.
